That's very neat... Did you just place an image of your kitchen on a plane behind the camera?

no... its actually made with Blender and HDRI...
I have to admit, that this is one of my very first attempts to do something with HDRI but the results are quite surprisingly.
If you would only place an image behind your camera, you wouldn´t get a quarter as good result

Have you got a shot of the actual kitchen? Judging from the reflections it looks pretty detailed, though it's hard to tell exactly.

Also, how long did that take to render? When I turn on the more interesting options in lightwave I get bored of waiting for it to render, it was still on pass 1/5 after 20 hours or so, and that's at a smaller resolution than this.

No i haven´t i was simply too lazy to first photograph my kitchen and make then a hdr picture with photoshop, so all in all, no i haven´t got a shot.
Rendering time was about, 5 minutes?

Hmm, I've heard of blender but never tried it. I'll look into it later, hopefully I can export things from lightwave or poser to try ^.^

you can import files from lightwave to Blender but not from poser i think. Neverthless it´s a bit hard to learn so if you need help...
