While the cut apart Pokémon might be slightly off putting, it does remind me of an certain Arbok having its head cut off, yet it returning very much alive later despite suffering what one would call a fatal wound.
That also reminds me of how other Pokémon always seem to be okay physically and mentally, despite: being electrocuted, crushed flat by larger Pokémon or boulders, being hit by a move that was seen used to cut through wood or stone, or even after exploding themselves.
