Oh Boy! Heathcliff used to be that strange halfway between Bugs Bunny and Popeye. He was a troublemaker and a prankster with his own set of rules, a code for want of a better term, and if he wished he is a wrecking machine, a bully , and a thug. The toughest cat in town, no one who actually knew better crosses Heathcliff.

Spike is one of the toughest dogs in town. Not the smartest guy, or just not given to much forethought, Spike could probably beat Heathcliff in a fight, but the cat is better at it and pound for pound stronger than the dog. Add Heathcliff's lack of personal restraint, and Spike frequently gets his tail handed to him. Heathcliff tends to get Spike to beat himself up most of the time as the bulldog is so tough he's almost made of rocks.

Being orange Heathcliff is a standout visually but also has the look of a little demon or imp. Being a nearly unbeatable fighter, he ought to be quite muscular. In the show and comic he was made to look round and fat not a condition for a cat who is as fast, mobile, and able-bodied as he is. So, now he looks the business and can whup just about anyone in West Finster.

I'll do a stand alone of Spike when I get to a few of the secondary characters.
