This Cyborg Burns with Fighting Spirit (2025)
Right after completing one picture of a protogen in IBM CGA colors, I wanted to draw another one. This time, it would be a custom protogen, unlike the previous one whose design was effectively adapted from the classic base. I took a few mornings and evenings to design this protogen, Blaze (they/them), and then I streamed myself on Twitch drawing them in an action pose, getting it done in a single seven-hour stream.
Like the previous one, I went with flat colors and an abstract background, but also added an aura flame in their hand to suggest a more powerful warrior. The fiery nature of the background was improvised on stream with a combination of Aseprite tools until I eventually arrived at the result seen here. For seven hours of streaming, I think this one came out well.
