So, last weekend I tried to scribble something together for something called "Sybil Sunday".
Maybe I got started too late in the evening or something- but I clearly didn't have energy to finish the sketch.
Saved it, and shared a cropped version on a fan Discord server and on Twittah. People seemed to like it, so during the Monday I got to work.
In between calls, stress and phonecalls I tried to promise myself to finish this thing in before the upcoming "Sybil Sunday".
Which is now! (12/10-25)
So this became a challenge of sorts for me, try to complete a "project" within a strict timelimit.
The timelimit was from that sunday until the upcoming Sunday and as I am slow as is, I think I am going to hit the handbrake now and accept the following result.
You may notice that I am once more doing some weird pixelart thing. I wouldn't call this true pixelart though. No dithering.
I have also used flatly colored layers, compared to using the eye droplet for taking colors and moving them around.
And I have been trying to use my Photoshop tools to their fullest but sticking with the digital pencil as much as possible.
No paths, no vector paths and lineart for the main piece of the drawing- which is Sybil herself.
Background objects and stuff are the regular vector graphics though.
Which led to another thing;
I wanted to include the magic meter from the game, so I looked at a screenshot and wanted to reverse engineer it- which was a fun task!
Although, when it was time to assemble the dreamlike background of nothingness- it became nothing but nothingness. It's a bit crowded I'd say!
Therefor, I have made two different versions;
One with the intended idea, which is CLuttered (which you are looking at right now!).
One with the basic, normal idea, which is Less Cluttered.
In any case, I hope you like this one! Soon I'll be going back to school for industrial engineering, so I am guessing I won't have as much free time for drawing then.
