Now for the next Roselife, we have someone that was in the spotlight in many of my chapters, before the actual Rattus and Mus was revealed and in the recent ones showing some of his abilities. So who was really the insane and who was the genius in the old duo…?
Edwards saw more on him, especially on his resilience…. And now it is tome to show more about Pinky’s origins on my universe….
Rosefile: Pinky AKA the clockwork expert
Experimental beginning
Pinky was like any non sapient mice, just living his life as he saw fitting, sometimes taking risks oblivious about the world that surrounded him. Then again being born in captivity meant his world was rather small, and that changed when he was chosen by Acme Labs to be part of their own experiment program which involved having his own genetic information spliced alongside another mouse that was named Brain. Pinky never saw his parents again, but he had very little recollections of them… other than painful events around them. So maybe it was his young brain blocking such suffering or the experiments that made him forget them all-together…
Chosen more for his energetic behavior rather than his *intelligence* Pinky was still labeled as a success for his first word spoken in human language that was NARF. Meanwhile Brain always hid his gained intelligence to create a charade that he needed his mouse partner with him, so both were kept together to see if there was a new response or results from further experiments.
While their relationship started more like a pair of opposites and almost made Brain being more infuriated about his current situation, a remark from Pinky saying he should force humans to wear very shiny pants and even saying maybe he could, brought to Brain the clarity to decide what he should with his new intelligence and that was: to become the supreme leader of the world by conquering it.
And that is how Pinky and the Brain formed a friendship… that while it had its ups and downs, it was a bond both created for the upcoming years… and thought it could last forever.
Every tomorrow night, every new plan.
Pinky was always there, every single plan, every single idea, every single wild imaginative process that Brain created to conquer the world… from hypnotic pancakes to even create a mouse wife, whose intelligence could rival with Brain and even to manipulate the masses with teeth. and every single one failed. But who was to blame? Was it really Pinky? Or it was because the plans had so many flaws that they were doomed from the start?
Truth was even at some point Pinky became more intelligent, thanks to one of Brain’s creations and while Pinky was not happy because he always saw the flaws in every Brain’s plan he then had to keep the act of being dumb, even when he was given the turn to carry his plans, and he succeeded in both… but immediately had to turn them down because of Brain’s inability to see they could do it with patience and to certain appeals. It was at that point he simply stopped caring and just followed Brain for the sake of maybe form a relationship with him, as he always found the mouse handsome and happy with his plans even when they ended up in failure. He thought maybe that way he would find the true way to conquer the world…
However, fate had different plans for both… that forced a certain mouse to take the hardest decision of his life…
A rose invitation
When the Sciurus invaded the Earth and their planet appeared on orbit, the first instinct of Brain was to go to it and rob the possible alien technology on that planet, disregarding the current invasion of the squirrel species. However, to bring as many technology as he could he would need help, so during a night, he was looking for files about other laboratory named NIMH that supposedly was experimenting with mice and probably such experiments could have brought the same results as with him. Pinky again had to pretend to be absent minded of the situation… but neither expected what would happen on that night…
Pinky received a rose and on his case, he saw some remembrances of his own past, about his parents and the fact both were hostile to him, even to the point of physical pain, much like his current situation with Brain… but at the same time he could hear voices inside him that told him there was a better way to enjoy the life, not just from suffering or an impossible love… and that was when a certain energy entered inside him… as for Brain, he simply broke the rose and disregarded it as a prank from Pinky.
As time passed Pinky thought about the rose and the visions he had, and this time he wanted to see and follow Brain’s plans, this time because he wanted to see the lengths of his desires and to probable this time take a harsh choice to stop him this time.
Then the day finally arrived, and then he heard Brain’s finally remarks about his specific plans… and when he heard he was going to brainwash fellow mice just for his selfish goals, his heart broke and his mind was at the loss of thoughts…. Because if Brain was going to do this…. Pinky knew he did not wish the same on to anyone else… so with all the pain of his heart, he had to stop his plans, for good. That is how he decided to take the life of his friend, and possible lover… and his immediate course of action was to leave to leave and then see where that rose would leave, but then he had to face a Squirrel that quickly bested him and left him in a dying state…
But unknown to everyone a certain rat was there, it was Edward that saw the burden that Pinky had and how his choice was for everyone to not suffer his own life, that convinced Edward that Pinky was worthy of being with them. He saved him and brought him back to Thorn Valley as it was their next immediate destination.
When Pinky woke up, he was now in the very same place that Brain wanted to conquer and brainwash… he was given acts of kindness and compassion and even everyone had good fun with him for his remarks of Narf, Zort and Troz. It was indeed the new beginning for him…
The Rattus and Mus era….
After getting a quick place in Thorn valley and even help in any way he could. It was when the rest of rats and mice arrived and just in time as it was time when Crossarious and the Sciurus finished the Farinam World ritual thus making the planet Earth not suitable for living anymore.
Vitalic and Mortic then teleported everyone to a new place to live, that one was planet MusRattus a new canvas for them to live and to prepare for their actual purpose as Rattus and Mus, which was to be overseers of the life and death and the cycle formed by both Aspects.
While Pinky felt he was happy on the destiny he chose, he felt he was out of place. As he witnessed part of what Vitalic and Mortic could do, how was he ever going to be as good as using the LifeForce like them? At first he felt lost, especially since he had not many talents for the possible fights he would have to endure.
That was until he saw that the scrap parts and other parts that the mice of Thorn Valley brought, he was making his own contraptions similar to the ones that Brain used to make, but rather thought about using them for helping others. Mr. Ages and Penelope were the first ones to notice the actual applications of such contraptions and how they could be used for helping others in their activities, and even they started the basis for Penelope to add more technological innovations and advances…
It was when Pinky began to change his feelings for the smart and independent female mouse, and even wanted to impress her by making one of the few toys he always enjoyed in Earth: which were clockwork mice… something nobody understood, but where others saw just mere toys, Vitalic saw an opportunity to make him improve.
Relationship with Vitalic.
While Vitalic always took time to make group learning sessions on the first months after everyone moved to MusRattus he always took the time to help others finding talent that life or death could give them. Vitalic then saw in Pinky a certain dormant talent… and curiously, it had to do with the clockwork mice that he could create from rudimentary parts like cogs and clockwork parts.
He started by asking what such clockwork mice represented for him, why was he so invested in them… to which Pinky replied that they reminded him of his old partner Brain. The white mouse claimed each clockwork mice represented a well designed and conceived plan…. At least on Brain’s mind… Pinky never understood the actual goals of some of the plans, and there was a point where he was never interested, and yet it was fun to see the mouse try… and that was part of his charm that he was so determined to fulfill his goal, even with his sad past.
Vitalic asked if he felt guilt because of having to rid of him…. Pinky sure was, but he also felt he had to stop him, because otherwise it would affect others and the last thing he wanted was others to suffer as he did… and that was the inflection point for Vitalic, he wanted Pinky to focus on the reasons of why he took such decisions, and while doing so focusing on both his own roses and the clockwork mice he brought.
Pinky was not sure exactly how it would work, as he just finished his training of making roses to grow, and he was still learning how to use his own LifeForce energy on them, but as Vitalic wanted, he focused on both his clockwork mice and the energy inside the roses. He thought about his past and current experiences, and he noticed that the rose disappeared and that the clockwork mouse he was holding was now glowing in a white energy… and it started to move on its own, it were just basic movement, including some jumping and climbing before it stopped moving.
Vitalic then explained that LifeForce could be used to strengthen and *give life* to inanimate objects, to become automatons that could help in battle, that could still be controlled by him. Pinky was surprised of what he was capable of doing… to which Vitalic replied, this was a first step to release his full potential… as overseer of Life, using his actual talents to protect it.
Whatever happened in the past, he had to overcome it and use what he currently had to focus and work on his abilities. Vitalic trusted that Pinky would be able to pull it off… and for the first time ever, Pinky felt someone was placing a blind trust on him and what he could do. It was overwhelming and… pleasant… and for that he decided to focus on his training and do his best to impress both Penelope and Vitalic…
He also decided to give a close to his chapter with Brain… all thanks to a certain place the Rattus and Mus can enter, called the AfterLife Realm. (More info about that later)
As time passed he worked on better versions of his clockwork mice and how to transform them into tools to do missions, and with the help of Penelope and Vitalic he was able to create clockwork mice that could work as automatons for stealth missions and even silent assassinations, when required.
Pinky was forever grateful with Vitalic, seeing him as another true leader figure (apart from Edward and Jonathan), who did not hurt him or just insulted him for no good reason, even with some of his nonsensical words and some actions, but rather kept trusting in his abilities.
The current picture is one of those times, as Pinky again was practicing with Vitalic on how to give other uses to his clockwork mice and even use them as conduit to make other classes of automatons, mostly discarded vehicles and other mobile machines. Vitalic was also learning about this new technology and he was learning from Pinky and others how to use it, so all in all it was a win-win situation for both parts.
Pinky also worked on certain hidden blades under his suit, in case he needed to defend in melee combat. And still had his charisma that helped him earn the support and trust of other Rattus and Mus.
In the end he proved he was much less insane than what he was always labeled as… and was a valuable member of the BlackWhite Rose Consortium and he would make sure it stayed that way…
