So here's a pro and a con about a change Furaffinity made, I don't remember how long ago they made it.
Pro - By removing the required Gender field artists have more freedom and control over their work.
Con - If a person knows the character really really really well then they'll know the gender of said character even if there's no specific gender tag. Otherwise unless the artist decides to put a gender tag or mentions it a person won't know.
No change is perfect. Oo.
