Shrike lives in the Dalek Asylum, not sure why it was originally committed but while in there it became obsessed with wanting to prove it is 'strong enough' to go back to working as a scientist. As a result it has taken parts of other daleks' casings to 'improve' itself, now views itself as being a new 'superior' kind of dalek. It regularly performs 'experiments' and 'surgery' on the other inmates, with the idea that if it makes a good enough 'breakthrough' it garner the attention of the dalek elites who will deem it sane and welcome it back into their ranks, not realising that this exact behaviour is likely what got it in this situation in the first place...

Was one of the instigators in turning Clara/Oswin into a dalek. Very much did not get along with Rusty, he viewed what it was doing as an extreme example of the cruelty daleks are capable of.
