Page one of a three page comic story published in 1999. I did this in part as a tribute to the old, druggy undergrounds, and also as a comment on the American obsession with combatting pot use.

I remember re-reading this in my comic collection not long ago - it was in "MU", right?

It might have been, but I think actually it was a similarly title comic published by United Publications from the UK. There were three "Wild" comics --

Wild (Antarctic/Radio Comics)
Wild Kingdom (Mu Press)
Wild Side (UP)

I've never got the problem with smoking pot, and i've been arrested for it before... But i lived in Sierra Leonne for a couple of years, and out there the police arrest you if you DON'T smoke the stuff.

It's really only the US and American influenced conservatives in Western Canada who give a damn about pot. And they aren't going to let the rest of us treat marijuana smoking leniently either. What do we think this is? A democracy?

Oh, democracy is another word for Status Quo. In England the old stuffers in parliament don't think much of it either.
