My Little Panda-Pony
MLP commission for
pandaman06, turning his panda character into a pegasus pony. The character's bionic arm translates well into a mechanical foreleg, which I tried my best (though I'll admit I'm no good with technical things) to make it look at least plausible with the show's technology.
The background started out life as a screenshot, as cleaned of grittiness, small details altered, characters removed, distance added, more clouds drawn in and generally changed to suit the needs of the piece. Just worth noting in case anyone thinks I'm just slapping screencaps in place of backgrounds.
All in all, I'm terribly pleased with the outcome, and I know
pandaman06 is too!

Note: Thanks to the idiots who have been harassing me and stealing/altering my artwork, I'm sorry to say that all artwork will be posted in much smaller dimension with very low resolution. I apologize, as it does indeed suck, but you can thank the stupid, rude people that think they deserve everything for free for this change in my posting habits.

I understand your need for the watermark, but it really kind of ruins the point of posting imo, at least on this piece. I can't appreciate the image at all, since I can barely make out of the detail work. I feel I might as well be looking at a thumbnail. I'm sorry this is a less than useful comment.
Just out of curiosity, how often does theft of your art happen? Is it a high enough number that your business has been hurt since people just copy it rather than commissioning you?
Not trying to be rude, I am genuinely curious, and just a fan who is bummed to see lesser quality postings.

Just last week I had some hot shot idiot that decided he was going to prove to me that he could remove my watermark, and then did. That's when I made the final decision that I will no longer post anything hi-res anymore, and deleted about half my gallery here. I have had my artwork show up on eBay on shirts, on Zazzle/Cafepress on mousepads, mugs, etc, and in various places on DeviantArt. Since I've started watermarking, this hasn't really happened much, so its obvious the watermark works. I still have instances where people have traced/recolored my work and tried to pass it off as their own as well.
Honestly, I don't like it any more than anyone else does, but its either I do this or I don't post at all. I make a living off my artwork sales at conventions and the like, so any theft at all hurts my business. One print copied instead of purchased is one less sale for me, which can add up quick.
I'm bummed too, because it means that people only get to see the low-res, low quality work. It saddens me that I can't trust people to leave it alone. I wish it wasn't the case, but I've had too many issues in the past few years and I've lost a lot of faith in humanity in general. Not your fault, but you know what they say- a few bad apples ruin the whole bunch.
I do try to stream live art once a week, where you can see much high res work as I work on things. I do my streams every Thursday, if you'd ever care to watch! Hopefully it makes up for lack of good posts here, even if just a little bit.
