It is said that at least once in their lifetime every dragon should make the journey to Avalon to rest beneath its stars and gaze upon the constellation of Draco. To remember. To contemplate. To simply be in the stillness of the night.
After a long flight across mountains and mist filled valleys, we reached the great castle. A monument of stone and time, where the echoes of ages past still linger in the silent halls We landed in the courtyard, where the stones beneath our claws were smooth from centuries of stories. There, upon ancient pillars standing like sentinels of history, we perched. Crimson and blue beneath the velvet sky. Above us, the constellation of Draco unfurled across the sky.
We breathed in the cool night air and let the starlight wash over us. We were reminded that even the mightiest dragon is but a spark in the vast expanse. Yet a spark that belongs, that burns with purpose. And can ignite others.
Perched on pillars of the past, we too became part of the story. Guardians of memory, watchers of the stars. And as Draco watched over Avalon, we remembered who we were, and what our place in the great design of the world should be.

A little over a year ago, I happened to catch a documentary that briefly showed Spiš Castle. Something stirred in my mind—"Haven’t I seen this before?"—and yes, I had: in Dragonheart. That film was shot there 30 years ago and released in 1996. I ended up watching it on VHS two years later, and it left a deep impression on me—so much so that it ultimately set me on the path that brought me here today.
That moment sparked the idea to travel to Slovakia and stand in the very place where Draco once was.
The idea lingered for a while until, by chance, I mentioned it to
Tilondrion . He was immediately on board, and so we set off this May to make it happen.
