Fizio (Planet Showcase)
Orbiting the red super giant S-5F8F, Fizio is a warm and arid terrestrial, life-bearing planet with a breathable atmosphere, a surface gravity of 0.82g, and a day that lasts only 7 hours and 18 minutes. It orbits so far out from its star that a single orbit takes over 783 Earth years, or 939,600 local days, it also has a small tilt of only 6 degrees, leading to its climate to be quite stable/uniform. Most of its surface is covered in a desert, and it regularly experiences powerful winds, and thus dust storms from its rapid rotation. Its surface is mostly land, but it is dotted with several large seas that provide relative refuge from its vast empty swathes of desert.
In the present day, the planet hosts a large molten scar and in orbit is its constantly exploding moon, Elvins. Fizio is home to a thriving Lawless population, and riddled with camps of both hard workers and slavers trying to get rich off what Zeenium is left after the Zeenium Rush.
Near the end of the Zeenium Rush in GST 0826, it was found that many Zeenium detecting probes would burn-out, their detectors seemingly breaking near the tip of the Southern Wing, while most corporations wrote it off as a natural phenomena, or a glitch, the Forture corporation went all in, believing that they had come across the motherload of Zeenium, a venture that would turn out to be well worth it.
Forture would find a planet and moon in orbit around the star system S-5F8F, the Forture corporation discovered that the moon was absolutely overflowing with the valuable substance, so much so it spewed out matter from its surface, forming a ring system around it, occasionally meteors falling to the planet it orbited, and with that, the planet was also rich with Zeenium. They designated the moon F11-Z11, and the planet F1-Z10, and did everything to prevent the knowledge of their cash cow from becoming public knowledge.
After it was discovered that F11-Z11 had macro-scale quantum properties that got in the way of any large-scale mining operations, they settled to mine the planet it orbited instead. Due to the distance and secrecy of the location, Forture made an agreement with the DLS to take prisoners with life or death sentences and take them to F1-Z10 to act as an indentured workforce, in return to providing the DLS with some of the Zeenium. Additionally Forture would also find the planet the perfect location to establish laboratories for extra-legal research, with the most infamous laboratory being Hileon 51.
Over the next seventy years, Forture made profits slowly mining the planet’s riches, eventually becoming complacent as numerous indentured prisoners eventually broke free, and Lawless folk, like pirates, moved in. The planet and moon eventually got called the names Fizio and Elvins from those not part of the corporation. Forture would welcome these Lawless individuals, especially among them slavers, since they offered high prices, to the slavers to deter anyone else from snooping around and finding the planet and moon, as well as for any ore their camps mined, since Forture was the only entity in the region able to process the ore.
Eventually one of Forture’s experiments would go awry, leading to Hileon 51’s abandonment, and soon after the secret of the moon and planet being leaked to one of Forture’s competitors, the Aivin TEC corporation. One fateful day in GST 0909, Anivia Station would warp into orbit around Fizio, seeing the massive space station appear in the sky sent Forture onto full alert, causing them to invade Anivia Station in an attempt to control the damage already done and try to keep their already lost secret.
While it is argued about why Anivia Station fell so easily to Forture, the secret was all too spilled when Aivin TEC would hire countless mercenaries across the galaxy to reclaim their stolen space station, framing it as an unprovoked attack by Forture. During the conflict, Elvins’ surface would become shattered, putting it in a perpetual loop of quantum explosion, from the white hole contained within pushing it apart.
Ultimately Aivin TEC would reclaim their space station, and a routed Forture signed over the exclusive legal rights to operate on Fizio and Elvins to Aivin TEC. Aivin TEC would proceed to mine the planet of most of its Zeenium, eventually leading to a volcanic scar across its surface from the intensive orbital mining, eventually abandoning the profit after making most of their profits, and skyrocketing Aivin TEC to being the highest valued megacorporation in the galaxy.
