if Sugar is GIVEN a script or lie to preform he can do it immediately, on the spot, playing into it very well because he's great at conjuring and feeling emotions, regardless of whether the meaning behind what hes saying is true or not. when put on the spot, he is a TERRIBLE liar without a script. because he's so emotion driven it's really hard for him to generate actual ideas for what he's meant to say. he's so used to lying for other people though that telling the truth or shutting up never really occurs to him AS an option in situations, he compulsively- and terribly lies.

Dylan on the other hand has taken up sort of a vow of silence when it comes to lying. he feels as if he's done it "too much" and he is tired of lying all the time, but he hasn't learned how to tell the truth in a way he likes yet. instead he'd rather be let off the hook without any answer at all- something his dad tends to allow him to do. if Vigil asks him a question he doesn't enjoy, and knows Vigil won't like the answer, he'll give him a look and refuse to reply. but in situations where he knows that won't work, Dylan will BOTH omit the truth and toss in small white (or not as small) lies to cover up what he's omitting. he feels a lot of guilt about this, because for a lot of his life he spent it apathetically lying to get everything he's thought he's wanted.
