Sort of a 'calm before the storm' chapter where Zekra and Arqeez take on a simple job that turns out to be something they hadn't signed up for.

I liked this one quite a lot, nice use of the planet the story happens on as a plot device and not merely a background. Same goes for the native inhabitants' biology. Arq's fear of water and tendency for asking to smash will never get old. And at least in this universe, ChatGPT was useful for one.
Wondering what would happen if Zekra had disclosed the contract tablet, I was expecting that it'd be important somehow, making the whole sequence of getting feel a little bit unresolved because of that.
(despite it being written in alien gibberish, ge could've used computer translation to figure out what its contents really were)
As always, gorgeous illustrations and Arq sees some action indeed!

Pretty sure I did that with the water-covered super-Earth and the research station as well, but yes, the locations themselves and their unique quirks are not that often prominently influencing the plot.
The ChatGPT is a specialized AI for finding inconsistencies and pointing them out to the judge with little else function, so I'd expect it being able to do its job. I was actually more thinking of the AIs used in medicine to check scans for signs of disease than ChatGPT.
Well, sometimes things don't go as planned and the thing hard to obtain has to go to waste. While Zekra would have been able to do that, ge relied on bringing the tablet to Ami Mil who could have translated it, but alas, court hearing got in the way.
Thanks, the bug guy gets a bit underutilized with him being the fish out of water all the time.
