Bentayga is a shaman, and his duty is to deal with different kinds of spirits. With time, some of them become allies, and may assist him when he really needs it.
His shape and mind can't change, as his own patron spirit doesn't allow so, but their timely aid may be just what they needed to get out of a tight situation.
🔸By himself, he is able to shapeshift into a were sabertoothed tiger, after the egoistical intervention of an ancient, desperate spirit.
🔸Bull values strength and peace, but his help is always welcome when tackling someone or bursting through a wall as a 400kg werecat isn't quite enough.
🔸One of the most widely renowned tricksters of the African desert is Jackal. As much as he would respect a fellow were-cat trickster, he can be an... unstable ally.
🔸Stingray's reach is limited, as they can barely exist outside the ocean. In it, however, they're as agile as they are lethal.
🔸Crow and their spawn are as mischievous and cunning as a werecat may be. This, plus not hitting the ground after any mishap, quickly put them in each other's favour.
🔸Not all spirits are animals. But being surrounded by literal stone can be quite handy. Named after an enormous volcanic spire himself, Bentayga didn't take long to gain Crag's favour.
🔸Both silent, eerie, stalking night creatures, Snake felt pleased not to be overlooked by who would normally be his predator, commiting to help him reach places that no other feline would.

These are all the designs, height-normalized, side by side. Mind you, these are not all spirits Benta's in friendly terms with. Others, like Spider or Wind, are just not depicted here!
Because it's hard to tell at first how massive Snake and Crow are- Benta himself being over 2.50m (8'3") to begin with!

I'm glad you like the idea! It's one of the concepts I'm most fond of for his setting.

Oh my 😳Proud indeed. The Bull especially has plenty of reason to be proud! Also really fond of the Snake for... many reasons.
I wonder if Bentayga is affected by the spirits that merge with him. Does his personality or demeanor change? Does he get more aggressive when channeling the Bull, or more cunning as the Snake?

Bentayga's personality can't change as it says in the description of this submission, but they certainly talk to him! And they can move their bodies themselves if they wish, even if Benta is "wearing" them!
He can be pretty aggressive as he is, although he tends to be rather gentle with the people he likes (and fucks) 😌
