Revenge of the Blue Dragon Suit [Colab w/ Nakase]
"No, not right now!" Ryan protested as he felt 'his' blue dragon suit suddenly leap onto him as soon as he climbed out of bed. "I have to go to work!"
The ever-silent living suit paid him no heed, grinning devilishly at him as it swiftly engulfed his legs and crawled onto his back. Within moments, Ryan felt the familiar sensation of his body transforming as the living suit reshaped him to fit its draconic shape. Its rubbery skin fused with his own, becoming more life-like as it did so.
Not for the first time, Ryan wished that he hadn't gotten stuck with the living suit. Sure, he *loved* being a dragon, but the suit constantly threw itself onto him at the most inopportune times. He had nearly failed college because of the thing, and keeping a stable job was a struggle.
If only he hadn't snuck into that strange costume shop all those years ago...

This is a sort of re-imagining of the oooold blue dragon suit transformation that I drew nearly 20 years ago. You can find the art here, and the story that I wrote based on it here. It is wild to think that picture (and the insane amount of attention it and the story drew) kind of jump started my story writing hobby!
I'm trying to get back into drawing, and I'm planning to start things off by coloring some other sketches and lineart that I got from other artists. Like my stories, I'll be sharing them on my Ko-fi first. ;)

Like Grace said, these suits are basically powered via proximity to their wearer. Their energy efficiency and how close they need to be to draw power varies. This suit is basically making sure to keep on topping off its energy reserves so that it can make Ryan wear it whenever it wants ;)

Oh yes! Just had a quick read of it on the Trunch commission, another good ending. Hehe, I always loved when he first transformed, the way he just climbed on the roof and sunbathed x3
