I made this specifically after I found all those deer bones. (For those of you not familiar with that story, go to my "Skulls and Bones" floder in my gallery)
The stick was dried then stripped of it's bark and sanded. (drying with the bark on makes them sturdier)
The bone on top was bleached then glued in place. (it was a leg bone from the deer that shattered during the accident that took it's life; I didn't break it!)
The Pheasent feather was one I found on one of my Nature walks; it was strung onto a thong of leather and some 'tribal' beads added for weight.
There is also a Hemetite Circle attached to the top that I got at a craft store. (Hemetite is a protection stone and the hole in it is in homage to the Fae)
The leather, both black and red, was wound around the bone, the feather, and the base for a complete feel and then crossed down the length of it to tie it all in.
In all it took me about 5 hours to put together, dry time included.
Made about four-five years ago.
