After reaching a certain age, Calen's unique power transformed while bathed in the light of the blue full moon. The power Calen inherited from both his father's has become unstable. He has now transformed into a were-husky, and is unable to control himself while in this form.
His body has increased in size, his power has surged to insane heights and he has become very feral. The markings on his body turned from their usual green color, to a the same blue hue as the moon that caused this transformation.
Normally, a wolf can transform into a werewolf and maintain control, with enough training. It was assumed that Calen did not inherit this ability, since he was not born a wolf. For that reason, he was not trained to control this power. Even though Calen is a husky, he has a good amount of wolf DNA from his father Arian. Mixed with his other father's fox DNA it was clear that Calen's genetic makeup was far from normal.
Neither Arian or Cole could figure out how to control their son's wild nature. The usual tactics to calm a werewolf that Arian was taught have little to no effect. And the nullifying power that Cole possessed did little to calm Calen. Not even the training that wolves undergo is helping.
Stranger still, is Calen's personality while in this form. He is known to be kind and loving towards everyone while in his normal form. But rather than being aggressive and demanding, common traits seen in werewolves, he has become playful and highly submissive. Like the sub setting in his personality got cranked up to 100.
As of right now, no one has figured out how to completely control Calen. His parents are searching for ways to help beloved son. Seeking aid from old friends knowledgeable in the ancient ways. Whatever it takes. For now, the only thing that seems to keep Calen in check is his best friend Soldram. It's just a theory, but it could be that it's due to the love they share for each other. Who the heck knows. Little do they know, Calen's body has changed on the inside too. But that will be revealed at a later date.
