If you can describe Silverwing in a few words, then he is Pterano, Rinkus and Sierra (canon) in one bottle. Cunning, treacherous and nasty. His Flyer form is that of Ornithocheirus, which I had long wanted to add into the AU, so it suited him very well.
It is probable that Silverwing was once a guardian of the border which separated the Earthstompers and Backwing territories. Since the Twofeet occupy a large area, Silverwing has little contact with other guardians. The Guardian's job is to maintain a delicate balance and keep curious Earthwalkers from crossing the border.
However, the silver Twofoot was not particularly interested in defending the territory of the Backwings. Instead, he found a much more entertaining prospect - bringing chaos to other flocks. Yet that wasn't enough for him, he wanted something different and exotic. Since Silverwing always considered Earthstompers to be weaker and one step lower in the evolutionary chain, and at some point, he got the idea to start hunting Earthwalkers. But being alone against a whole herd, would have been a challenge even for him. That is why one day he found two minions for himself - two Stingtooth brothers, petty scavengers who had long wanted to taste the flesh of dinosaurs. The three of them became a single flock. They acted quickly, accurately and without witnesses. The herds that passed by their domain found their end there.
Very soon tales and rumors began to spread about that land. Dinosaurs talked about a giant Flyer and two huge Slitherers that guard the mountains from intruders and kill everyone who comes too close. Of course, few Earthstompers believed them at first, however, as the herds continued to disappear. The dinosaurs began to avoid those lands. That caused food to become scarcer, and forced the Backwings to find another way to get food. As they ventured deep into Earthstompers territory, where they found an oasis rich in greenery and water. It was the perfect ambush spot until their flock ran into the Crystals.
Having lost their place of hunting, Silverwing and two brothers were forced to return to their old territory, but it turned out that it had already been occupied. After Silverwing lost the fight for the right to his old territory, the trio had to leave for the lands of the Backwings.
Many years later, by chance, Silverwing met the leader of the Blackrock Mountain Flyers, who offered him revenge on the Crystals in exchange for them to bring Draigar to him alive. The plan required a fair amount of patience and cunning. In the Great Valley, he was in the form of a large Flyer as he tried to win the favor of the red Backwing, but all his attempts failed. Draigar sensed the danger emanating from him and always kept her guard up near him. At the same time, Silverwing had to keep his companions in check, and prevent them from hunting the Earthstompers that swarmed in the valley, plus, training them to be Flyers as Silverwing himself had a much easier time in this regard, since his original body structure had more in common with the Flyers.
Silverwing's plan never came to fruition. Although by spying on the Draigar, it led them to figuring out that Sierra was in the Valley. They dragged the adult Crystal into their lair, and the False Flyers began to torment him, demanding from the Flyer the weaknesses that Draigar had. But even here his plan didn’t work. Sierra did not know the girl's vulnerabilities nor would he reveal them. Still, for Silverwing personally it didn’t matter much, after all he got into his clutches on the one who took away his sight, and he would be relishing the torture his minions inflicted upon him.
Thankfully for Sierra, Draigar ruined all Silverwing's plans. Being very faithful, she had guessed that Sierra was being held prisoner and rescued him. As they escaped, they, along with the False flyers, ended up on the Threehorn Peak. Silverwing used the stolen stone, returning the False Flyers to their true forms. During the battle, Sharppeck and Clawgnat managed to inject their poison into Sierra's body. The mortal blow to the Crystal came from the stab from Silverwing, a final desperate attempt to kill the brown Flyer before plummeting down from the cliff, unable to fly away with his tattered wings.
