Hippogryphs are as majestic as they are dangerous. They're very nice to look at, but is a human turning into one as nice of a view? I took some creative liberty with today's creature and made a mid-transformation scene!

On another note, though this is a largely furry inktober challenge, I'm really trying to shake things up by focusing more on the monstrosity and horror of these beasts and the man vs. nature/supernatural aspects. I personally think that if one doesn't, then you end up creating buff fursona boyfriends and lose the frightening qualities. Not to say that drawing a buff fursona boyfriend is a bad thing, by no means! It's just that I'm consciously leaning in this more visceral and spooky direction in order to really nail that dark Halloween vibe. Otherwise, I'm just making fursonas.
