Here I designed a boy and his imaginary lioness using Hero Forge. His imaginary lady friend is a tall, athletic, muscular, anthropomorphic lioness.
A Short Story
Leon, short for Leonard, was just a boy, but not quite what you would consider normal. He was a boy with autism (a congenital disorder of neurodevelopment). He had some difficulties interacting with other people. Most of the time, his peers simply considered him eccentric. When something particularly interested him, he would delve into it and become an expert.
One of his absolute favorite animals was big cats, and he especially liked lions. He considered lionesses particularly beautiful. He especially loved lion characters like Simba, Nala, and Kiara from the Disney animated film The Lion King, and he also liked the live-action version.
He had a very vivid imagination, but had learned early on to separate his personal life from his school life.
One day, it happened: his power of imagination ensured that he had a friend, an invisible friend.
This invisible friend was a two-meter-tall, athletically muscular, anthropomorphic lioness, dressed in a blue tunic, a red scarf around her waist, and brown pants. The lioness introduced herself as Alea, and Leon was happy to have his new female friend. Alea gave him love, understanding, and security when Leon felt misunderstood or overwhelmed by his surroundings. Alea knew how to build Leon up, especially his self-confidence. She was a friend and a protective sister to him.
Both of them experienced great adventures and performed great heroic deeds. His imagination opened up worlds for Leon to explore.
Over time, Leon was able to step out of his comfort zone. He learned to accept autism as a part of himself. Sure, there was teasing and stress, but Leon wanted to be strong for his parents, his few friends, and especially for Alea.
As Leon grew older, it was time for Alea to go. Although this saddened Leon, he thanked her for all the wonderful time and attention he had needed.
Leon never forgot Alea, because growing up and being an adult by no means meant abandoning one's childhood and imagination. Leon managed to become an artist, and Alea, in particular, became his favorite subject.
