Ripper was once adopted by Varg after he lost his parents. But how did Varg come to adopt him? Here's their encounter:

One rainy night, Varg was walking home with his pet, Scaldog. As the two passed a side alley, they heard the crying of a baby. Surprised, they both investigate the crying and see three people with weapons in their hands, about to attack a small raptor baby. Of course, the baby is scared and walks backwards until he reaches a dead end and stands against the wall. Varg draws attention to himself, causing the three strangers to flee upon seeing Varg. Varg wants to pursue the three strangers, but he can't leave a helpless little baby alone, so he stays with the baby.

As he tries to get closer, Varg notices two corpses in a dark corner. The two bodies are the baby's parents. The baby is afraid of Varg when he approaches him and bites him when Varg reaches out his hand. He doesn't blame him for biting him because he's just a baby and he's scared. The baby quickly realizes that Varg doesn't mean to harm him and stops biting him. He realizes he only saved him and snuggles up to Varg as Varg gently lifts him up and presses him gently against his body to protect him. Varg decides to take the baby to a hospital and alert the police.

In the hospital, the baby is cared for by doctors. Later, Varg learns that the baby isn't registered in the system, so no one can find out his name or whether his deceased parents have any relatives. The only way to find out information about the baby is to look for the bodies of his parents. But Varg learns from the police that the bodies are missing. Presumably, the three unknown attackers returned and disposed of the bodies while Varg was on his way to the hospital.

While Varg is on the phone with the police, the baby looks at him with sad and sweet button eyes. Varg finds this very sweet, but he can't take care of the baby, so he plans to go home. Just before Varg leaves the hospital, he looks back at the baby, who is still staring at him, but this time with a sad expression. He's about to cry because he doesn't want Varg to leave. Although Varg wants to leave, he can't resist that sweet look and decides to take him under his wing. Since he's not registered anywhere and his real name is unknown, Varg decides to call him Ripper.

Days pass and Ripper feels completely at home with Varg. It also turns out that he is very playful and likes to cause chaos. He also loves to tease Varg and Scaldog by biting their tails. He especially likes it when Varg is working and Ripper annoys him. For this reason, Ripper was nicknamed "Little Frechdachs" (Frechdachs means "Cheeky Badger" in English) and "Little Troublemaker." But even if he's sometimes annoyed by him, he can't hold it against him, since he's just a baby. Especially when Ripper bites his tail again and Varg wants to nag him, Ripper just looks at him sweetly and sometimes sticks out his tongue cheekily.
