<<EVERYTHING I SAID BELOW IS NOW OFFICIALLY A LIE! Gone Feral has not been interrupted and it's currently proceeding. I'm leaving the original down here for posterity.>>

Hello, everyone, it's been a while. After spending a long time considering my options I have an announcement to make:
Gone Feral is officially an archived project. This is the last page you're going to see.
I learned a lot by working on this comic, and I really wish I could at least get to the cool bits I wanted you all to see, which is why I pushed it so hard, but I think it's time I used the experience I made on this venture to focus on something else, sad as it may be.
It was a ride to say the least, and I'm glad you people were here for it with me. I would like this to end on a positive note, however, and tell you all that this is, in many ways, hardly a negative, as closing GF will enable me to work on other things, such as faster, more dynamic projects.
I would explain how, but, as always, I'd rather show than tell. Hopefully, you'll stay, otherwise, I wish you all the best! To everyone else, I'm prepping things up for some new stuff. As always, stay tuned.

I'll miss each update of this comic
I wonder if you'd be willing to let us know some of your plans for what was to come, maybe answer some of the immediate dangling storylines as a bit of closure? Certainly no obligation or pressure, especially if you think you might revisit this story or some of those concepts in the future!
At least we won't have to come back here for years hoping against hope that there might be an update. If one knows its never gonna get continued one can forget about it and delete all links and bookmarks and move on elsewhere.
Then again...
Online comics are a bit like a relationship. They are one-sided, the author has all the work, while thousands of fans only consume, but nevertheless they get emotionally invested with the characters and with the story and they come back looking forward to the next instalment. It can make everyones' life a tiny bit brighter and fill the day with something to look forward to.
But for that spark of hope the user has to trust the author to not betray their hope and indeed deliver and keep the story going.
It gives the author power. On a whim, those hopes and expectations can be shattered. It's a bit like giving a child a little treat every day. It might not even be the best candy ever but over time the kids will love it and expect it. It becomes part of their culture.
Then one day when they happily approach, you deny them and tell them there will never ever be candy again.
As an author, one can play that cruel game to several thousand little kids all at once. No more candy. For nobody!
Now some author might instead promise other, different candy. At some point. And more variety.
But it won't be the same candy. Not the favourite flavour. And worse, the author has already betrayed them once. Maybe they are insulted. Or just afraid of the emotional pain of getting addicted to candy again - and then it goes away ...
Serves them kids right. No more candy, suckers! Muahahaha!!!!
If no one will be around for the time I'll be able to serve again, then I guess it was destiny that I wouldn't be able to give people something to look forward to.
And yet, I know for a fact, that even then, I wouldn't stop trying.
These times are trying for everyone, so I'm not blaming you. I'm just, well, I guess I got emotionally attached to your comic characters ;)
I'm busy conceptualizing what this would mean in this artcandy metaphor
I've been working on a comic in private and been trying to get several pages done so I can release something to the public on a regular schedule, but with my own random schedule, was afraid to wind up leaving it on hiatus.
If you tell your readers right away that there is no true regular schedule to expect, then there's no harm in that.
I fucking loved this story!
Time is a confounding thing. I can always hope that you may come back to it eventually.
For now, know that we all love your work and are looking forward to seeing what you can do.
Good luck!
Can you at least give a summary of where it was going? ;_;
best of luck on future endeavours.
In any case, may we see new and exciting works from you!
