"Enjoy!"
The Biyomon chirped as they slid a warm plate of steamed veggies and mushrooms to me. The wonderful aroma of the lightly buttered and sauteed medley was something I didn't know how much I sorely missed this whole time. "Aye, thank ya!" I say with a nod to them before they leave and I take no time to dig in.
My thought about looking for that Guardromon had gone well as it turned out that he indeed was giving directions and quick guides around to those that were needing it, which also told me that they were welcoming to new arrivals in good faith. That shed a whole lot of weight of worry off my shoulders after that, i'll tell ya what. After thanking him for showing the lay of the land, I had one thing left on my mind and that was getting something to eat.
I still had those bits from way on back in the misty swamp and while not much, it seems like I could get me a thing or two if I looked around and seeing that there's no digishrooms just growing about a trip to the restaurant was in order. Besides, it's gotten far into the night and I rather not have to wander back out to forage just as I get here.
Just on the outskirts of the city with a view of a really familiar looking forest, I find what i'm looking for. A bit of indecisiveness and finally a decision later, i'm taking in the warmth of both the plate of food and of the surroundings.
I made it, all on a fuzzy memory of something and a whole lot of wandering. I still wonder about what I forgot though as I look back on it. Why was I out in the savanna? Where was I going before? How did I even hear of a city when I can't remember anything back beyond that moment? It all feels so displaced in a way. A lot of places I passed through seem like long ago memories and what I've seen has taken it's place instead. I find myself staring off into the distance as I refocus myself, glancing around to make sure that I hadn't taken someone's attention with my blanking out. This is no time for those kinds of thoughts right now, the food is gonna grow cold if I just sit here and ponder everything and I still have plenty of time to think about things later on like where to go, where i'd stay, what i'd even do next.
Well, I may not know where i'd stay or go but I do know that next i'mma finish off dinner here.
And we come to a end with this old series with something both old and new!
Back when I first started this whole thing those years ago, the first two drawings I started were of the beginning and the end. It was to end with Gabu-lu eating a omelette in the restaurant of DW1 after having the fortune of picking up some bits in the middle of his journey. But with the changes it would have to be scrapped, or so I thought before I figured that I could call back to that with a new version instead!
I didn't have any real idea on what new technique to go for with this so pretty much just let it flow to let things mix and rest after everything. And I think it turned out well with it even if it did take weeks of letting it all fall into place.
Might upload the old drawing later on and link it as a next part bonus, never made it fully past lineart but was enough to set the scene. Anyway, with it all at a end after a little over four year span, the only thing for me now is to see how things have changed around the Digiverse once again when Time Stranger comes along so see ya then! And thanks for stickin' around with the series!
Coelamon, Biyomon, Digimon belong to Bandai and Toei animation, Lu the finally food stuffed fish is mine.
