Shortly after moving out of the desert from Hesperia and down to Chino Hills, I felt as if I had been cast adrift in my life. Stuck in too tiny a boat with no fixed landmarks to strive toward or means to get there. My friend Jim, forever the optimist looked at this image and said, "At least it's a calm day." That I can be thankful for. The Sea can indeed be treacherous.

LOL! Yeah, I hear you loud and clear on that one. As you guessed, it is the Pacific Ocean depicted, and thank goodness it's not of the area just outside the Golden Gate of San Francisco where the currents create broad, rolling waves which even on a calm day can test the constitutions of even the most hardened of seafarers.
Awwww...! That is so wonderfully kind of you to write. I really like the idea of drawing up the cartoon too. (Perhaps after I get more financially solvent?) I'm not sure if I ever mentioned it before, but you picked one of my favorite flavors of Life Savers candies too. Strange. That's how Ness works though in her mysterious ways.
