Never played Hylics! Only played a tiny bit of I Have No Mouth, but I did read the short story that the game was based on. xD Can't say i took any active inspiration from it, though.
My biggest inspiration is the Shin Megami Tensei franchise, SMT3 in particular. And the world & story of Tsutomu Nihei's Blame!. Also a bunch of completely unknown titles like the browser game Loom and the Japan-only released game DeSpiria.
