I was feeling a bit down the night these were made. I have a terrible habit of staying up very late and sleeping in very late, too, consequently missing many hours of daylight.

I LOVE the sunshine, and I wanted to make a soap that would remind me of it, but I couldn't decide what happy thought to base this soap on.

And then it occurred to me -- one of my favorite childhood movies is the animated movie Serendipity: The Pink Dinosaur. One of the characters in the story is a tropical bird of paradise named Peela Peela. It just seemed appropriate. :D
