As both sides can pump an unending amount of grunts onto the field with their godlike powers of creation. This of course usually results in stalemate as they fight over anything from unveiled territory within the hedge realms, native areas being conquered, to someone slapping another at a fancy dinner.

The real deciders of such conflicts are the changelings the court throws onto the field. Officers, to mad engineers, to being your typical horror or fps protagonist who leaves a bodycount in the triple digits behind them. Their free will is what makes the real difference in the field. While this sounds cool at first. Changelings are human beings, and experience all the trauma of warfare as you'd expect.
