It's not unusual for an SPF agent to keep a safe house in some era or other. It's a combination bolthole for when things go south and a place to relax and unwind.
Mina's a fan of the early 21st century. Those folks had it all: endless entertainment, endless food, very comfy furniture. Some of their video games were quite good. A shame that it was a few decades before the collapse of the First Global Civilization (GC1) where it was all lost.
Oh, you don't know about that? Are you from this time period? Were your first true cities in Mesopotamia?
...my condolences. Look, it'll be an Ice Age. 60,000 years for the planet to start thawing and then another 12,000 before widespread agriculture becomes feasible again. After that things will progress quickly enough. GC2 will start in China and while they will eventually have video games, they'll lack the same charm.
Don't you worry about how many GC's there are. How about some pizza?
