It had been an extraordinarily late night, and Nate was grateful for the chance to sleep in. Sherri had been up, tossing, turning, and Nate being such a good boyfriend had went to great lengths to help her sleepless state. The pups inside Sherri had the wildest cravings, banana flavored taffy, at three in the morning. But did Nate complain? Not in the slightest. He’d shuffled on his clothes and with a doting smile he assured Sherri it was all right before he ventured into the lonesome evening on a journey to find exactly what could satiate the pregnant doggirl’s cravings.

This morning, well afternoon now, he’d awoke to the savory scent of delivery and when he walked into the living room seeing Sherri lifting open the lid to a steaming fresh supreme pizza he couldn’t help but smirk. Her sudden look upon him as he strolled half naked into the living room, wearing naught but those silky boxer shorts to cover him, something she had shamefully admit to him that she considered it to be quite an enticing view.

“Morning hon.” Nate said mirthfully as he saw the beloved doggirl who was wide eyed at being caught helping herself to a slice of the New York delicacy and almost choking on it with how she gawked at his cavalier display. While Nate was personally more attuned to the unconventional saucy thickness that was a deep dish, he wasn’t about to say anything and simply slid himself beside her as she took a bite. “Did you sleep well?”

“Mmmh...” She paused then gave a little nod, “Mmhm...”

In truth she looked amazing, positively glowing, and even though she was somewhat of a mess with her hair draped over her face and a tight pregnancy themed gamer shirt draped over her obviously showing tummy, he couldn’t believe how beautiful she looked. Even with the stuck cheese and sauce to her lips…

Nate leaned forwards and rather than just pecking at her cheek, he touched his lips to hers and stole away that delectable mix of cheese flavors that hit so right upon his tastebuds on a species level. “Tastes good...”

Blushing cheeks quickly gave way to practicality as she looked to the pizza, her hands still full with a half slice as she rapidly gulped her bite to speak. “I mean, you can have some... I’m not going to eat it all!”

“I didn’t mean that.” Nate chuckled and gently brushed her brunette tresses away from her face as he smiled, “I’ll have a couple slices, but you eat first.”

She puffed her cheeks slightly, “It’s gonna get cold... C’mon, I’m really not going to eat this whole thing.” She muttered slightly, noticing that her tummy had become so bothersomely round. “...Even if this little guy makes me think I could.”

“Aww...” Nate smirked and gently caressed along the side of her shoulder, “And what if she’s just a hungry lil girl, mm? Just like her Mommy.”

“Ohmigosh...” Sherri’s cheeks flushed even brighter, silencing herself with another bite of pizza but didn’t pull away from his touch and glanced at her phone. “But... yeah... Nintendo Direct is up. If you want to watch it.” She murmured trying to distract him from her swollen tummy.

His rounded ears flickered suddenly recalling that there was something fun to watch today, “Yeah sure! I figured you’d already seen it though.”

“Well… I guess I was kind of waiting for you. Might be fun to watch together.” She reached forwards, another slice of pizza pried from the pie as she tried to convince herself another slice wouldn’t be too much, it was the pup’s doing after all...

“Okay,” His hand stroked lower, fingers teasing along her waistline, finding hat cute bubbly tummy and touching upon it. The thumping kicks of an active little mousepup inside bringing a prideful smile to his face. “And it looks like she’s eager to watch it to. You know what they say about how you’re supposed to play intellectual music and audiobooks while they’re inside there, that way they can soak up all that knowledge.”
“…I mean, I suppose.” Sherri bit on her lower lip trying not to bust a smile at the dorky mouse’s idea, especially when he was teasing her tummy with his fingers and coaxing more of those bouncy interior kicks. Each one making her jolt at the sensation and every time reminding her that she was carrying the most precious of cargo inside her. “A little nerd would fit in with our family...”

“See? Now you’re getting it!” Nate leaned in kissing at the side of her cheek with an adoring peck, “So watching this Nintendo Direct might give our pup a bonus to Nintendo Based Games, a +1 bonus to her die rolls when making that Yoshi Jump.” Sherri finally cracked a smile that turned into a giggle, although that might be partially due to the excited nature of the bouncing pup inside her that was becoming more active.

“Shuddup you dork!” Sherri poked out her tongue and glanced over, he still hadn’t had a slice, “And eat something before it gets cold.”

“Okay, okay,” he reached out and gently pulled a slice from the pie, showing off his proper pizza handling etiquette, Nate bent it right in the middle before taking a bite. His eyes rested on Sherri who was cracking a little bit of a smile, “There, happy now?”

Her eyes softened and she nodded, a flow of hormonal mood change visible in milliseconds before Nate’s eyes when her arms tossed around him. He felt a concerted hug and her cheek found solace against his fluffy tawny furred chest. “Yes, very happy…”

It was surprising how much that had become his favorite thing to hear.
