Sometimes I feel like I don't talk enough about all the skills Melee picked up during his squire training. He may not be much of a fighter or a hunter, but May understands that there's a lot more to journeying the land and adventuring than how good you are at violence, and that a good party won't last long out there if they don't have good people working those support roles. That not only means cooking, but also being able to tend to their injuries and, as we can see above, keeping everyone's gear in top working order. It's behind-the-scenes stuff like that which can really turn a good adventuring party into a great one that can go so much further than if they didn't have someone like Melee around to ensure everyone can perform to the best of their abilities at all times.

Had another chance to commission Psi. I was pleased with the work they did with Sharon for me in the past (see links below), so I decided to see what they could do with my other characters. Melee seemed like a good choice, since the artist proved they could do reptilian characters well enough, and I often like to see about getting art of both characters from people when I can. Even better, I was able to think up a simple idea with Melee that I haven't showed off before that also serves to build his character further, which is always nice. I think things turned out pretty nice, wouldn't you agree?

... That said, I suspect Psi may have mistake my dragon for female when drawing him. It's a little hard to tell here, due to the sword blocking the view, but I'm pretty sure Melee has boobs here. Can't really fault the artist for that, though - certainly wouldn't be the first time this has happened, after all. Plus, May never exactly had the most masculine features out there, nor does his choice of attire demonstrate much in the way of machismo. Not that I mind; part of the fun with commissioning these pieces is just seeing how exactly artists interpret my characters and what sorts of personal spins on them might be applied in the process!
