A raffle prize from _volatileVixen_ on twitter/X from their April 2024 art raffle (a year ago. But I received the art in august 2025) who drawn a fullbody of merpup scarlet happily playing above the sea surface with the waves on a sunny day with her family with a happy smile on her face while doing a adorable pose as shes spending some time in the summer sun during the final days of summer before the autumn weather comes.
Scarlet is making the most of it by catching the summer sun and watching the waves and the sun for the final time before it sets and when it dose, that’s when she say goodbye to the sea surface for a while, especially for young Merpups (not adults) because when summer temperature start to plummet down to autumn temperature in the sea that’s when the air and sea temperatures becomes cold. Meaning that most young Merpups don’t spend time above the surface or outside of puplantis because it’s too cold for them so they stay in puplantis to keep warm during the autumn and winter season which they don’t have the magic ability to keep themselves warm, However some adult merpups like me and marina can fight the cold to catch food but on rare occasions some families do take their sons and daughters with them but they have stay very close with the warmth from their mothers.
Apparently that’s what captain turbot said on how Merpups adapt to the weather throughout the year but we don’t know if it’s true. Any thoughts ?
