If you're using prismas, always work light to dark, and when laying the color, do your strokes at a slow to medium pace so the ink has enough time to soak into the paper and blend with itself so it doesn't come out streaky.

When blending two colors together, go back over the merging of the two with the lightest color to mix them, maybe even do some light strokes further into the other color.

Hope that helps some :) Oh yeah, and always keep a scrap piece of paper that's the same kind of paper as what you're coloring to test your markers and see what color they will look like "when they dry" ^..^
