The Dark Tower is the shit. I don't remember if it was spelled blane or blain, but yeah, he was a pain. Correct me if I'm mistaken about the Dark Tower reference.

Oh man. i HATE the cliffhanger at the end of The Wastelands... Oh man. But mostly because i don't have the next book. Blaine is such a damn pain, and his interactions with our heroes are yet unresolved in my mind!

I have a phobia of the original Hamburglar. Does that count as a clown phobia? McDonald's sometime in the 80's, revamped Hamburglar to make him look friendly and he's more child-like than ever these days.

Back in the late 70's...the local McDonald's advertised that you could come on a certain day and meet Ronald, Grimace, or the Hamburglar. My mother picked me up from kindergarten and took me to McDonald's for lunch.

I'm sitting there eating when I feel a hand on my shoulder. I turn and look and there's Hamburglar with a balloon saying "Take it, kid." in a mumbly voice.

I read the entire series except for the book where they defeat Blaine (I was so angry because I could not find that book and there was a killer cliffhanger in the previous one!!!). Damn, I still don't know what they did to get out.
