The Magnificent Bondo is well renowned in the world of magicians as a veteran of the art. He likes to end his shows with daring acts of incredible escape artistry, but his incessant one-up-manship has led to increasingly ridiculous predicaments on stage, which has turned into plenty of fan-service for the somewhat niche crowd he’s garnered over the years. One review described his latest show as ‘ending with him parading around the stage in layers upon layers of some kind of latex fetish gear’. And continued with ‘clearly I’m not a part of his target audience.’, even daring to call him ‘a washed up has-been.’ The reviewer failed to mention the fully packed auditorium though, and whether he actually escaped his binds in the allotted time, or whether he faced his fate. I hear he’s on again next weekend though, best book tickets before they sell out.
