I've no idea if it'll help, but we cut acrylic at Hobby Lobby in framing. When my boss cut it, she scored it deeply with a thing we use for cutting foamboard, which is basically a big straight cutter with a razor blade and whatnot. Then, we laid it on a flat surface and two people held the big part of the acrylic while she snapped the other end off. I dunno how much acrylic you have but... maybe it'll help I dunno. xD

ya i got the tool to score it, and went through the score like 5ish times. but it still broke badly. maybe this one it too thick? might try a saw

I really don't know. I have yet to try to cut it myself. It seems to be wwwaaayyy harder to cut than glass. I can cut glass all freakin' day. >.>;

If it's a long break that needs to be made, the trick (and hard part) is to try to get it securely held all along the length of the score, pretty close to the break point. Then you can start breaking it. I usually went somewhere I could lay it down on the floor overhanging a drop-off (like the top step of a staircase), got someone else to stand as hard as they could on the one side, and stomped on the other side myself.

probably really messed up the scoring or just got a way to thick of a piece T.T

If you go the saw route, be careful that it doesnt heat up and melt. :D
