This is the only poem I have managed to get published yet. I hope everyone enjoys.
The drops that beat upon the pane
now echo through my silent room.
The pitter-patter of the rain
forms stained-glass to lighten the gloom.
The lightning bolts across the sky
and strikes its target with cold perfection.
The walls illuminate as each goes by,
stirring my constant infatuation.
Thunder rolls, following its master,
its call, like a growling drum.
My heart, it beats all the faster
Until the growling dims to a hum.
The storm has soothed my unending fright,
My lullaby that plays throughout the night.
The drops that beat upon the pane
now echo through my silent room.
The pitter-patter of the rain
forms stained-glass to lighten the gloom.
The lightning bolts across the sky
and strikes its target with cold perfection.
The walls illuminate as each goes by,
stirring my constant infatuation.
Thunder rolls, following its master,
its call, like a growling drum.
My heart, it beats all the faster
Until the growling dims to a hum.
The storm has soothed my unending fright,
My lullaby that plays throughout the night.
