Ahlam and Mr. Whippet are two of my most highly-prided characters.

Based off the idea of a hookah-smoking caterpillar, Ahlam is exactly that. Although he's made of dreams instead of flesh, and can only exist within dreams, wherever dreams are; dreams sustain and keep him alive, just as his existence within the dream keeps the dream alive. He's quiet and inquisitive about the universe and everything in it.

Mr. Whippet (also called Amal) is a malicious and other-dimensionally creature that takes the form of a flying, talking top hat. Lacking eyes, Mr. Whippet needs no eyes to see, as he constantly talks and babbles about deep philosophical and dream-related topics. He and Ahlam are not so much friends as both fellow travelers, unable to exist without the other, both being made of dreams, you see. As they traverse the vast expanse of the dreamworld, Ahlam questions and observes, and Mr. Whippet encourages, leads, and explains.
