An unfortunate fellow living in superstitious old Egypt, Lukef was kidnapped to the palace of the Pharaoh by a man obsessed with the idea of gods on earth -- Artuk the falcon, who's convinced he himself is the incarnation of the sun god, Ra. Artuk believed Lukef was the incarnation of Anubis.

Artuk held Lukef prisoner in the palace for seven years, during which time Lukef almost lost his sanity, actually believing he WAS Anubis. In the end, he regained his sense of self, but not before Artuk had his revenge and murdered him and his engaged lover, Idone, in cold spite.

Now existing as a ghost, Lukef cannot find peace, bound to the earth by the tragedies he'd lived through when he was alive.
