Built this costume in 10 days when I had just heard about a big Star Trek convention only an hour away. It still needs some work, like finishing up the feet and covering the muscle suit with rubber like the original. This was always my favorite Star Trek character, so finally had the stimulus to make it up. The tunic is carefully copied from the original, by stenciling the designs on the original that is preserved in a costume museum and can be found on the internet. Despite it not being quite up to my standards yet due to the time factor, this was a huge success that everybody at the convention loved, and I think everyone there posed for a picture with the Gorn. By peering out of the mouth, and the raised feet, the Gorn stands almost 7 feet tall, and was very intimidating to some people, and some children were genuinely terrified. And the great thing, the prize money pretty much paid for the building costs like all of my other costumes!
