Oh that's actually a little bit of a toughie. Can't deny I've been having blasts with wizards as of late with there just being so much you can do later on in levels too (like lord Enchantment wizard does people dirty with the ability to target two creatures with enchantment spells later on)... You know, I think I just talked myself into deciding it is wizard xD
Still other classes are a real blast like currently have a fighter1/warlock3 mix (with group testing out 2024 dnd, having a minimum of 12 damage on greatsword hit is kind of neat lol) which has been fun to work with. It's hard beating the feeling of getting to bonk people good! Though think wizard still wins out.

Awesome! I myself am only ever int-based characters (aka, only wizards or artificers or both).
Using the 2024 rules my character already (level 13) (Wizard 9, artificer 3) has a 20 for int, a +9 for most int rolls, including any attacks with magical weapons, AND a +13 for Arcana and History!
Being a wizard is great lol
Have you invented any unique spells yet? My character has one, which is a 1st level spell called Moon On The Horizon's Glyph of Spellbook Warding. It makes your spellbook explode in people's faces if they open it without permission.

Guess that would do it a bit lol. I've been playing for a bit now so actually have gotten a taste of a variety of things so far, though not nearly as much with the 2024 rules. Can't deny it has some nice things, but then other bits are less so. Still has been fun so far.
Ooo sounds like a fun character! Wizard and artificer just go so well together like bread and butter! Oh, an battlesmith too if I were to guess with int based weapon attacks. Nice! Never got to dig into that one, but seen a friend really enjoy the subclass. One thing I do like is what they did with offering expertise to some int skills for the wizard. It makes the studious based class feel a bit more real in being a cut above the rest!
Actually can't say I have just yet. Haven't dug into much personal homebrew creation, but definitely some fun stuff there for whenever I do. Let's you fill in those niches like your unique spell does! Tbf I haven't gotten into a long running game with a wizard as much so that does make it a little harder for me to do something like that planning with the dm too. Still nice stuff! Does remind me that I've been meaning to post some other of my backup onto here since one of them was a lizardfolk wizard/artificer split xD

Yeah! He is also the party's emotional support Tabaxi lol.
He is the wizard of the Mages 4 of the Iron Cave (The Iron Cave being the Barrier Peaks spaceship). His group is made up of himself (who is from Toril but was born on Abeir. Don't ask him about Abeir), a human cyborg warlock (ghost in the machine) from Kamigawa, a half-devil bard (college of creation) originally from Innistrad but lives on Toril, and a tabaxi druid (Circle of Stars) (also from Toril but born on Abeir) who is his younger cousin.
He is the oldest of the group at the age of 21, and also seems to get targeted by enemies the most lmao.
