[1372] Pooltoy Otter, Fairy Vahno, and Headless Hydra
Well, what do you know but
shadowsoldierxander went and got themself fairy-fied, and you can imagine how being that much smaller and magical would tire you out, and you'd go looking for a sympathetic shoulder on which you could rest, and then someone has to go and make a crack about your delicate condition.
So while Vahno really did go and get fairy-fied on SpinDizzy (the furry muck I run, https://www.spindizzy.org/nwp/ if you want to try it out), it wasn't into a
virmir-type fairy specifically. Vahno just really liked the style. But the fairies in Virmir's comics have some particular interests and Vahno lets me draw stuff without asking permission and, huh, who knew pooltoys could be fat? I'm glad this will not lead to any weird inbox comments!
Headless Hydra's color is a little darker than usual this time because otherwise their green and Vahno's green would be identical. Also I spent so much time figuring out how to stage the three panels and the not perfectly satisfying answer of have the hydra way up in the foreground was the least-bad answer. At one point I thought Vahno doing a Woodstock-style butterfly-flying around would be funny and maybe it would but it'd require me drawing smaller than I know how.
I like the implication that these two are in a world where you might be minding your business and suddenly a conscience turns up on your shoulder and it would be just a 'huh, how about that' bit of a surprise.
I may have overdone it on the glowy effects especially around the otter. It looks too much in the thumbnail but that's not the important picture, is it?
