was talking with some friends about drowzee and hypno's designs and i thought. hey i dont think i like them very much. the weird big nose on hypno feels a little off to me and overall theyre just a bit plain! i looked up the inspiration for their designs and found that theyre based off of not only tapirs, but baku, described in the "Sankai Ibutsu (山海異物), as a shy, Chinese mythical chimera with the trunk and tusks of an elephant, the ears of a rhinoceros, the tail of a cow, the body of a bear and the paws of a tiger, which protected against pestilence and evil, although eating nightmares was not included among its abilities". i like all these little details, like the paws and the tail, so I decided to spiff up the designs a bit! added some markings, hooves, a fun cowlike tail and a more fuzzy look about them. i made do more redesigns in the future along with more taurs smiles
