The Danzig show on May 10th was amazing.. It was my first time in a mosh pit! I was having the time of my life and drinking pineapple juice and vodka.
When the show was over I saw Danzig's tour bus outside and a line had formed to get stuff signed. The Roadie guy said he would take our stuff inside the bus, Danzig would sign it, and then the guy would bring it back out to us.
Ben had purchased me Danzig's illustrated lyrics book right before we left the show, and I had just chugged my last drink.. so I got in line to get it autographed. I leafed through it until I found Wolfs Blood, then I handed it over to the roadie when it was my turn.
When he brought it back I looked at the autograph for a second and then I wrapped my arm around the roadie and explained to him as best as I could that I have always wanted to have Danzig sign his name under my tattoo I have of him. The roadie guy told me to wait a moment, he stepped back on the bus, and then shortly afterward he waved me over to come aboard!
I have social anxiety disorder, but for some reason I was not anxious or scared at all at that moment. (That still puzzles me, lol)
I got up inside the bus and saw Danzig sitting in the very back. I greeted him, we hugged, and then I showed him my arm. He seemed giddy when he saw the tattoo Mike made of him. He did that "welcome to my book collection grin" lol. He liked the little Danzig toy design Buddy tattooed on me awhile back too. He told me to hold very still so he could attempt a neat signature. When it was over I thanked him and gave him a peck on the cheek and then I left.
I got it tattooed over after work. Yay! (hm.. wish i held my arm different for the photo. LOOKS WARPED XD)
the end.

That is honestly one of the most awesome stories that I have ever heard. I wish that I could have seen Danzig back in May. I have seen him live, and it is phenomenal. I love your tattoo. That signature is perfect. I have been looking for the lyrics book, and have had trouble finding it. I have a psychology degree and a good friend with social anxiety degree, so I understand. I am glad that you were able to overcome it at that time (although, I am sure that the alcohol helped). I know the "Welcome to my book collection," grin. I still have those first two home videos (I wish that they were re-released on DVD), along with the Samhain video from the box set. Yeah, I'm a also a fan.
