You're right, Nine should have exploded him a while ago, it seems to me. He's just too nice for his own good (and a little too full of E.D. drugs to use his Element). However, I really don't think Dice carries the keys with him all the time. When would he ever normally have occasion to open the cages? Then Nine's left with just a dead phoenix and no bargaining chip.

Pai is by far my favorite character so far... just so damn huggable. I want to take him home and, for one, FEED HIM. Actual FOOD.
