So here is part two of my baking extravaganza that took place today. Banana bread. the nuts that you see broken up on top are the pecans. I actually was supposed to fold them into the bread but I misread the recipe somehow and had the batter already in the pan. So what I did was broke up the nuts and sprinkled them lavishly on the top. It was the best I could do at that point. Have not tried the bread yet. will do that in the morning.

For me making the bread brought back a lot of fond memories. My mother and I would bake all the time when I was a kid and through my teens, and one of the things that she made that I would always look forward too was her banana bread. she would make it every month or so during the winter. This is NOT her recipe unfortunately. Would love to get my hands on it. Make some mama bread :P
