And now for something completely different.
That's right, you're seeing a non Landie related upload. I’m as shocked as you!
This is a concept sketch for the gryphons that live within my worldbuilding project. Well, technically two projects. I've been, for years, playing around with these worlds and decided it was about time to put a face to one of the important species. Mind you, this is a concept, which means they might get some changes before I am happy but overall I am thrilled with how it came out.
I am torn about the tail fan and if you want to weigh in on my internal debate I will put up a link in my journal soon.
-Lore Tidbits-
Gryphons in my worlds are fully sentient. They travel in flights that number into the hundreds and migrate across entire continents. While highly competitive with Landie herds they also hold a begrudging respect for them. The two species have cooperated in the past to protect the wilds in which they all live.
They are just as capable on the ground as they are in the sky. This combined with their acute senses make them incredible hunters. They hunt solo or in groups depending on the prey. While gryphons do enjoy meat they are accomplished omnivores. So fruits and veggies are part of their diet.
Gryphon nations, which are several or dozens of flights allied together, have their own culture, laws and borders. These borders move along with their migration routes in predicable patterns. These gryphon nations will commonly have diplomatic agreement with nearby bipedal nations so as to avoid unwanted incidents between their peoples. Such as people settling on gryphon land while they are away due to migration.
By contrast some gryphon nations happily raid the towns of those who live on the ground. Claiming loot, prizes and even people as their own. These flights, feared by all, are frequently paid off by lesser nations to avoid being attacked.

1- I will have more art of these fellows over time. So if you liked this gryphon keep right on watching for more but it might be a while.
2- I think I accidentally named this guy after one of my favorite Babylon 5 characters.
