Ack, sorry for my reply lag in here- I don't tend the art accounts often enough. ^ ^; Regarding guidelines, the swatches aren't rock solid or anything. Generally: Fires = shades of red and orange, Plant = greens, water = blues, sparks yellow, airs are white and lavender, darks are black and purple, rocks are browns. Plenty of room for variation and customizing- in fact, one trait we did have in mind is that some individuals have white or black patches, which are considered somewhat rare, and often a target when breeding. In fact, speaking of breeding- combinations of the different types can yield all sorts of fun results. Plus as they age, they can grow horns and spines in distinctively individual ways. So, in short, they are a playground. Rules are not in high abundance. If you get hurt, don't blame me- and have fun. 8 )

Yep- their growth rate is contingent upon their metabolism, like some reptiles. So the more they eat, the bigger they grow.
