When you walk down the street and hear a 'squelch', it's a telltale sign you've stepped in the wrong thing. But as your skin turns rigid and glossy and your toes swell into a heart decal- you start to wonder if maybe you stepped in the exact right thing after all. You stammer and gasp as the bottoms of your feet hardened and the heel of your foot pushed its way up and stiffened more secure than a tree trunk. You wobble about on the new permanent incline of your feet, knowing that there's no going back. With a final strained wiggle you watch as the last of your big toe swells into a shiny pink heart. You no longer have a foot, you have a boot. It is as apart of you as anything else. And now all that's left is to make the rest of yourself match...
