A RWBY AU I work on every now & then; one where Ruby got messed up by Grimm and couldn't became a Huntress due to the encounter. But, still wanting to be a hero, she buries herself in engineering & even gets accepted to the best school for engineering - in Atlas.

The Spark Notes:

-The incident happened when RWBY was young, before she unlocked her semblance. She lost a leg and got a prosthetic. Said prosthetic works as the ignition key to her mech, Iron Rose, and lets her feed her aura into it to power it.

-Ruby is blue for the aesthetic, but have been considering a name change. Most likely not, cause at that point, I might as well make an OC. Which...

-Ruby has a different semblance in this AU, since the accident would have a shift in her personality & would effect semblance development. Otherwise, it's still Ruby.
